We continue to be very proud of the MP Health agency and this year's open house will give you a first hand glance and experience into our programs and services. Please join us for our 6th annual, MP Health open house on Thursday, September 21st from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm! Meet our staff, directors and therapists, tour our facility for therapy services and Counseling Center. Talk to the therapists and see the materials used for several of our programs.

 

Do you know what behavioral clues mean? Where to begin? How to engage a child who is stuck in "NO"? Which brain-body connections are prerequisites for skill development? How to build skills in developmental hierarchy? Learn how to develop self-awareness, self-control, shared attention, communication, sensory motor registration, regulation, and higher level motor skills through therapeutic play, sensory, breath and movement routines.

COUNSELING SERVICES

Tour our new office space and meet our experienced counseling staff who provide mental health therapy services to families, couples and individuals. Learn about all the mental health services available to our community. Both bilingual and English speaking therapists will be there to answer your questions!

 

PRIVATE THERAPY SERVICES

Tour our growing program of PT, OT and Speech therapies at our clinic. Meet our incredible staff of therapists who will be there to answer your questions. Plus, learn more about our new insurance program that we are using to help families cover therapy costs.

 

SOCIAL GROUPS

Tour our social group's [1] room, see the materials and meet our expert staff of Speech and Language Therapists who will be running our groups for children 4-12. Based upon Michele Garcia Winner, our therapists are ready to get started!

RESEARCHED Brain-Body Development Strategies

The foundational preschool years lay the groundwork for primary school readiness. Learn how to develop self awareness, self-control, shared attention, communication, sensory motor registration, regulation, and higher level motor skills through therapeutic play, sensory, breath and movement routines. Accessing therapeutic techniques in a developmental hierarchy will provide the new or experienced clinician with insights, strategies and resources.

 

Learn how to use evidenced based strategies to help the high risk preschooler who does not respond to traditional therapy, and to address a range of mild to severe challenges. Course includes experiential labs and case studies.

Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists and other allied health professionals working with preschoolers who are at risk for developmental delays. Teachers and Para-educators welcome to attend.

 About Anne Buckley-Reen, OTR/L, RYT

 

A dynamic lecturer, therapist and yoga teacher known for her innovative treatment programs. Anne has over 30 years of experience in pediatric therapy working with developmental and sensory motor challenges. Anne is a consultant with NYC schools, a researcher and an international speaker. Her work with yoga has been researched, published and cited in

numerous journal articles and is the foundation for a researched preparatory program widely used in New York City schools’ special needs classrooms.
